Friends of the Library

We help make our library a vibrant learning space as well as a haven where students can spend quality downtime between the pages of a good book. Friends of the Library are available to assist with cultural displays, workshops, reading groups and the promotion of new inventory and events. We support some of the library upkeep (reshelving, repairing and covering books) and provide a book exchange, located outside of the library, for parents to informally browse and find themselves an interesting new read! We also help connect parent volunteers with the school to assist with the reading programme in Primary School.

We welcome suggestions to keep our library interesting and relevant for all. Please email us to share your ideas or if you would like to get involved!

Ways to get involved:

• Supporting library upkeep (reshelving, repairing and covering books). Time commitment: 1-2 hours, 1-2 times a week
• Reading together with struggling readers. Time commitment: 2-3 hours a week
• Supporting students with their homework 1:1. Time commitment: 1 hour per week after school or at lunchtime
• Join our Committee! Time commitment: 3-4 hours per month
