Food Services

UWC Thailand provides students with a morning and afternoon snack and a buffet-style lunch. Along with a selection
of hot dishes, there is also a daily salad bar. Food is locally sourced. The school food is mandatory and the cost is included in your child’s fees.

The school community is diverse, and the school caters for the wide variety of our students' dietary needs. The school menu and food policy is overseen by our school operations team and supported by an informal school committee made up of teachers, staff, and students.

Monthly Cafeteria Menu

Students are not allowed to bring their own food to school. The kitchen also provides boarding students with weekday breakfast, dinner, and all weekend meals. The weekly menu is uploaded to the website for your convenience.

Nut and Allergy Awareness

We are a 'nut aware' school and ask students and parents to refrain from bringing peanut products to school; however, we cannot guarantee a nut-free environment. Teachers work with students to educate and reinforce best practices. To ensure a balanced diet is achieved for all dietary requirements, nuts and seeds are included in the school menu, with the exception of peanuts. All efforts will be made to protect the health and safety of those allergic to nuts/seeds through education of the individual, the relevant teachers, and the class.

Health Food Guidelines

We are committed to ensuring our food is prepared and stored safely. Senior kitchen staff are HACCP certified.

The UWC Guiding Principles state that physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle are integral to the balanced development of the whole person. This is reflected in the school’s motto ‘Good Heart, Balanced Mind, Healthy Body’. The balance between healthy eating and physical exercise is valued, and the school provides many opportunities for physical activity. UWC Thailand is committed to providing healthy choices, with staff and parents encouraged to lead by example.

When you bring food into school for birthdays, class parties, bake sales etc, please follow the Healthy Food Guidelines.
