From 16–24 July, the Open Skiff World Championships 2025 was held in Nishinomiya, Japan, welcoming young sailors from across the globe. The competition featured two categories—Under 13 and Under 17—with high levels of skill and determination on display.

We are proud to share that the UWC Thailand Sailing Squad, under the guidance of Kru Yod, achieved an excellent result in the Under 13 category, placing 3rd overall. This marks a significant milestone for the squad, which continues to grow from strength to strength since its formation.

For the past several years, Kru Yod has been dedicated to strengthening the sailing programme at UWC Thailand, providing young athletes with the chance to develop their skills, discipline, and love for the sport. His coaching and leadership have played a vital role in shaping the squad’s progress, leading to this international recognition.

Reflecting on the achievement, Kru Yod shared:
“This result shows what can be achieved with dedication and teamwork. I hope it inspires more young people in our community to discover the joy of sailing and the values it teaches, both on and off the water.”

This achievement not only reflects the talent and hard work of the squad but also serves as an inspiration for our wider community, where many students and parents share a passion for sailing.
Congratulations to the UWC Thailand Sailing Squad and to Kru Yod for their outstanding success on the world stage!
