Isabella (Grade 9) Shines at Thailand National Swimming Championships

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Isabella (Grade 9), who recently competed at the Thailand Age Group National Swimming Championships 2026, held in Bangkok from Friday, 3 - Wednesday, 8 April.

Competing in the highly competitive 14–15 age group, Isabella delivered an impressive series of performances against a strong national and international field, including swimmers from Australia, Hong Kong, India, and Myanmar.

Among her key results, Isabella placed within the top tier of competitors in multiple events, including a top 8 finish in the 50m Freestyle and a top 10 finish in the 50m Butterfly. These results reflect not only her performance on the day, but also her consistency and ability to compete at a high level.

A particular highlight of the competition was Isabella achieving four new personal best times, including three new UWC Thailand school records:

• 50m Freestyle: 28.28
• 50m Butterfly: 30.11
• 100m Butterfly: 1:08.40

She also recorded a personal best in the 100m Freestyle (1:02.60), further demonstrating her continued progress across multiple events.

Based on current national rankings, Isabella’s performances place her among the top swimmers in Thailand for her age group, ranking 7th in the country for both the 50m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly — a particularly impressive achievement as a 14-year-old competing in the 14–15 category.

Balancing the demands of the MYP alongside a high-performance training schedule requires significant commitment, discipline, and resilience. Isabella’s achievements are a reflection of her dedication to her sport, as well as the support of her family and coaches.
