University Pathways Report — UWC Thailand, June 2026

We couldn't be prouder.

The Class of 2026 has done something remarkable. Together, they have secured approximately 250 offers and acceptances from 90+ institutions across 14 countries and 5 continents — earning more than USD 9.4 million in scholarships in the process. These are not just numbers. Behind every offer is a student who arrived at UWC Thailand with a story, grew into someone extraordinary, and is now heading out to shape the world.

A Truly Global Class

From the moment they arrived at UWC Thailand, our students brought the world with them — from Southeast Asia and South Asia, to Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. It is fitting, then, that when it came time to choose where to study next, they chose the whole world too.

Confirmed placements span 7 countries across 3 continents:

Continent Countries Highlights
North America 🇺🇸 USA, 🇨🇦 Canada 29 US institutions; McGill University
Asia & Middle East 🇶🇦 Qatar, 🇭🇰 Hong Kong SAR, 🇨🇳 China Georgetown Qatar; University of Hong Kong; Duke Kunshan
Europe 🇳🇱 Netherlands, 🇪🇸 Spain Amsterdam University College; IE University

And across the full offer pool, our students were pursued by universities in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Malaysia, and beyond — with offers spanning all 5 continents — a reflection of how widely UWC Thailand's reputation is recognised.

Admitted to the World's Finest Universities

We are incredibly proud to share that our students received offers from some of the most competitive and celebrated institutions on the planet.

In the United States, our Class of 2026 earned confirmed places at 29 institutions:

  • Brown University — one of the eight Ivy League universities
  • Duke University, Vanderbilt University, Rice University, and Emory University — all consistently ranked in the US Top 25
  • Georgia Institute of Technology — one of the world's premier engineering institutions
  • Wellesley College, Smith College, Macalester College, and Sarah Lawrence College — among America's most celebrated liberal arts colleges
  • Tulane University, University of Rochester, University of Florida, and many more leading research universities

Students also received offers from outstanding institutions including Carnegie Mellon University, New York University, Middlebury College, Grinnell College, Oberlin College, Reed College, and the University of California system.

In the United Kingdom, six of our students received conditional offers from six Russell Group universities — the UK's most prestigious research university group:

  • University College London (UCL)
  • University of Warwick
  • University of Edinburgh
  • University of Manchester
  • University of Bristol
  • University of Liverpool

Additional UK offers came from Loughborough University, the University of East Anglia, and the University of St Andrews.

In Canada and Australia, students were offered places at globally ranked institutions — the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, and the University of New South Wales — all members of their countries' most prestigious university groups.

Across Asia, students received offers from the University of Hong Kong, HK University of Science and Technology, HK Polytechnic University, Georgetown University Qatar, Northwestern University Qatar, and Duke Kunshan University — institutions that represent the very best of internationally minded higher education.

Over USD 9.4 Million in Scholarships

Perhaps what we are most proud of is this: our students did not just get in — they were wanted. Confirmed attending students collectively received more than USD 9.4 million in scholarships, with US-based awards alone totalling approximately USD 8.8 million. Many students received annual scholarship packages in the USD 70,000–100,000+ range, making world-class education a genuine reality regardless of financial background.

This is UWC Thailand's mission made visible. A scholarship is more than money — it is a university saying: we see you, we value what you bring, and we want you here.

Institutions that recognised our students with their most competitive financial packages include:

  • Duke University — highest individual award, exceeding USD 100,000
  • Vanderbilt University — near USD 100,000
  • Sarah Lawrence College — two students, both above USD 94,000
  • Trinity College — above USD 92,000
  • Georgetown University Qatar — two students, above USD 82,000 each
  • Lake Forest College, Beloit College, and University of St. Thomas — multiple students each, in the USD 70,000–87,000 range

What Makes This Class Special

Numbers tell part of the story. But what truly defines the Class of 2026 is the diversity of paths they are taking — and the thoughtfulness behind each choice.

Some are heading to Ivy League research universities. Others chose intimate liberal arts colleges where they will debate ideas across dinner tables. Two students chose elite women’s colleges.  Some are crossing into entirely new regions — the Middle East and mainland China — choosing universities that are themselves experiments in international education. A few are heading to Europe; others to Canada and beyond.

Every path is different. Every choice is intentional. And every student carries with them the values, the friendships, and the global perspective that two years at UWC Thailand has given them.

Onwards

To the Class of 2026: you came from 30+ countries, you lived and learned together, and now you are spreading across the world to 14 countries and 5 continents. The universities welcoming you are some of the finest on earth. The scholarships recognising you reflect your talent and potential.

But more than any ranking or award, what you carry forward is what matters most — a commitment to making the world more peaceful, more just, and more human.

We are so proud of you. Go change the world.
