Boarding FAQs

UWC Thailand students in Grades 9–12, at the discretion of the Director of Boarding.

Spaces are limited and confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. Confirmation will be provided by the boarding office.

Yes, families may request regular bookings, but all requests are subject to availability and the Director of Boarding’s discretion.
 

No — boarding options are currently available for Grades 9–12 only.

Day and Occasional Boarders join all meals as part of their stay and receive breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner before collection at 9:00 pm.

Day Boarders join the boarding community in shared spaces such as the common rooms, study areas, or supervised activity spaces. They do not access student bedrooms but are fully part of the evening programme until collection at 9:00 pm.
 

Yes

Yes — Day and Occasional Boarders are fully integrated into boarding life, including CCPs, meals, supervised study, and evening activities.
 

Rooming depends on availability at the time of request.

Our Houseparents and the boarding team are always on duty to support, supervise, and care for students.
 

Day Boarders are fully supervised until 9:00 pm, including after CCPs or evening activities. Parents must collect students by 9:00 pm.
 

This may be possible if space is available. Please contact the boarding office as early as possible to request an upgrade from Day to Occasional Boarding.
 

All boarders use the REACH app for leave from the boarding house.
 

No — laundry is only available to overnight (Occasional and Full) Boarders.
 

The boarding staff will provide immediate care and contact parents as needed. Students have access to the school nurse and local medical facilities if required.
 

Occasional Boarding allows students to experience life in a residential setting while still staying connected to home. It builds independence, confidence, and the routines of shared living, helping them transition more smoothly to university life in the future.
 

Yes — school-arranged transport is provided for weekend trips and school activities.
 

No — fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable.
