Class of 2022 University Entrances

Everything we do at UWC Thailand is geared towards equipping our students for the future (which for most is to attend university), so it’s no wonder that so many of our graduates are accepted to outstanding universities and colleges throughout Europe, Asia, Canada and the USA.

Celebrating 60 years of UWC

October 2022 marks a special milestone for UWC, as we come together to celebrate 60 years of educating for peace. Since its inception in 1962 at the height of the Cold War, UWC has championed education as a route to a more peaceful and sustainable future, inspiring young people from all walks of life to become agents of positive change. Beginning with the founding of one college, UWC Atlantic, UWC has grown into a thriving global community, which now includes 18 schools and colleges across four continents, hundreds of short courses, more than 4,000 volunteers, educators, partners, donors, students, staff, and almost 60,000 alumni.

Values Aligned Day - Mindfulness

On 28 September the first Values Aligned Day of the year was launched, and focused on our pillar of Mindfulness. We celebrate the inaugural event and all the learning that took place. The goals of our four Values Aligned Days include extending our curriculum with student voice and agency, engaging with community partners, and building more in depth relationships across our school, community, and on the island.

Meet our Director of Sport, Activities and Camps

My name is Kerstin Bender. I was born and raised in Germany. I am half Swiss as my mother is from Zurich. I grew up in Kaiserslautern, not far from Frankfurt and close to the French border.

My family and I arrived in Phuket at the beginning of July.
My husband, Ismaël, is from the Ivory Coast, West Africa, so we're raising our kids to be third-culture kids. Ismaël is working as a part-time boarding house parent here at UWC Thailand.

We have two sons; Kalani, who is going into Mini Mantas, and our baby boy Keanu, who is only five months old. As a family, we've lived together in India and, most recently, China.
