Here in Primary School at UWC Thailand, mathematical learning often looks messy. At times, learning and teaching does not resemble how we might have been taught math previously. Yes, our students still learn their times tables; ultimately, however, at the initial data or memorization stage, the learning for our students has just begun.

Boarding at UWC Thailand offers students a unique opportunity to build interpersonal skills and relationships across cultures and backgrounds through a shared living experience. Boarding students live in shared rooms in the on-campus Boarding House and the off-campus villa, with roommates assigned in alignment with the value of deliberate diversity. 

UWC Thailand is experiencing an exciting period of growth in the 2022/23 academic year. The school has welcomed more than 150 new students and staff members who, including their families, have grown our community by over 500 new members.

The ongoing development of AI provides all of us involved in education with a tremendous opportunity to be courageous in embracing new technologies; to be adventurous and transformative in how we use these tools; while being mindful of the dangers associated with them.

At UWC Thailand, the diversity of the student body plays a crucial role in the implementation of the TOK course. Our school community represents over 90 different nationalities, and every student comes from a unique background and context.

After several rounds of applications, videos, as well as statements, and wrapping up with final inspirational speeches for the Diploma Programme community, UWC Thailand is officially welcoming the new members of the Student Council (StuCo) 2024.

In January, Ge Wu, an American Canoe Association's (ACA) Level 3 Kayak Instructor, Trainer and Educator, delivered an Instructor Certification Workshop at UWC Thailand International School. This workshop was a significant milestone in the school's commitment to providing high-quality outdoor education to its students.
