Sports at UWC Thailand

At UWC Thailand, we value the role of sports and physical activity. It is an integral part of campus life. We believe in the positive benefits of participating in individual and team sports.

Our focus on well-being, mindfulness and a balanced lifestyle help us build a connection between a “Good Heart, Balanced Mind, Healthy Body”. Together with our next-door neighbour, Thanyapura, our students have access to state-of-the-art facilities for football, swimming, running, tennis, and fitness. National parks surround our campus, and lush green mountains and beautiful beaches allow us to take advantage of the great outdoors with activities and sports like hiking, kayaking and sailing.

At UWC Thailand, our sports programme is based on a ‘Sport For All’ model that emphasises physical literacy and enables students to learn and develop skills in a nurturing environment. Our community prides itself on diversity. Through sports, we bring our community of learners together.

Sports play an essential role in the UWC Thailand educational model as it enables our students to find new or expand on existing passions. We believe that through sport, we can fulfil our school's mission while providing a pathway for sporting development that caters to various interests and levels of performance. Being part of a sports team enables our students to develop confidence, resilience, organisation, and commitment. Above all, it exposes them to teamwork and challenges, which ultimately requires them to take responsibility for themselves and their team.
