Natawadee (Ploy) Srithongdee

Learning Support Teaching Assistant and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

 

Ploy is originally from Bangkok and joined UWC Thailand in 2018 as a learning support teacher and a co-homeroom teacher for Grade 6. She holds a B.Ed. in Art Education from Chulalongkorn University, a MA in Design Management from the University of Southampton, and an M.Ed. Education for Persons with Special Needs from Mahidol University.

Ploy is a Buddhist who follows and practices Buddha teachings in everyday life, including in teaching. She chose to be a teacher so she can do good deeds in supporting children who are the hope of our future. She applies Buddhist concepts into teaching, especially the Four Sublime States of Mind; Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy, and Equanimity. She believes this helps nourish her students to meet their highest potential in a peaceful way.

She enjoys working and doing community service with the UWC Thailand community. She loves living on this beautiful island that has stunning mountains and beaches. Her favourite sport is surfing. She is so grateful to be a part of the UWC Thailand community.
