Mick Sheridan

Mick Sheridan is from Australia and brings more than 30 years of experience in international education to UWC Thailand, including a twelve-year tenure at NIST International School in Bangkok, where he served in various leadership and coordination roles. His career also includes significant positions at both the International School of Beijing and Jakarta International School.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Master’s of Education in Educational Administration, Mick values continuous professional growth. His leadership philosophy centres on visibility, strong relationships, and empowering individuals—students and staff alike—to reach their full potential. With significant expertise in curriculum articulation, student welfare, safeguarding protocols, and the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), he thrives on developing holistic learning programmes and building strong, collaborative school communities.

Known for his warmth and sense of humour, Mick is a firm believer in the power of a supportive school environment to enhance student learning. He actively applies his training in cognitive coaching and curriculum development to support teacher supervision and professional growth planning, continually striving to improve the learning experience for all members of the community.
