John Miller
Middle Years Programme Design Teacher, Outdoor education, and Diploma Programme Language and Literature Teacher
John is originally from Seattle, Washington, USA but comes to us most recently from Singapore American School. He has worked in Turkey, Taiwan, and Korea and has travelled extensively throughout the world on mountaineering expeditions. An English teacher with a penchant for technology, John will be working with MYP Design this year. John has a passion for photography and film-making and has worked on many small-scale productions about climbing and the outdoors. He believes strongly in the transformative power of Outdoor and Experiential Education and has worked as a ski guide, a climbing guide and a trip leader. John believes in the power of experience to inform identity and shape character. By recording our experiences and celebrating our identity we can find a place in the world and share aspects of ourselves with others to build greater worldwide tolerance and understanding.
