Jessica (Jess) Beloded
Learning Support Teacher and Swim Team Coordinator
Jessica is originally from Vancouver Island, on the West coast of British Columbia, Canada and joined UWC Thailand in 2011. She is a proud Peruvian/Canadian who has made it her life’s mission to travel the world and work in diverse and inspirational educational contexts. Jessica has spent the last two decades working in Canada, Australia, Germany, and now Thailand. She strives to individualise her approaches to teaching and learning in order to meet the needs of whomever she is working with. Additionally, sprinkling social emotional learning and mindfulness into each day is a priority, so those around her can learn tools and strategies to support their own development in line with our school’s motto: Good Heart, Healthy Body, Balanced Mind. Jessica has worked in Grade 2, 4 and now Secondary Learning Support at UWC Thailand. She is also currently acting as Aquatic Director and Secretary to the Executive Board of Governors for the school. She has a BA in Education from the University of Victoria, and a MA in Educational Leadership and Management from Royal Roads University in Victoria. She is here with her husband Zhenya, and her two children Mia and Ellie. Jessica’s passions are cooking (without a recipe), outdoor activities such as rock climbing and paddle boarding, personal fitness, and travelling the world.
