Heidi joined UWC Thailand in 2015. Previously the Vice Principal of Student Life at the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, Kenya, Heidi has had extensive experience as the Head of PE at schools such as UNIS, New York, and The International School of Manila. She is committed to the concept of community engagement and has led students working on projects in places such as Kenya, the Philippines and Cambodia. As well as Creativity, Activity and Service (“CAS”) coordination and teaching PE in the Secondary School, Heidi is responsible for ensuring that service remains a central component of a UWC Thailand education with all students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 involved. Her role at UWC Thailand has enabled the students to build sustainable community relationships, develop strategic plans, and create legacy projects. Recently Heidi has been sharing her CAS skills and knowledge with over 50 CAS coordinators from around the world, delivering monthly seminars as part of the Faria Mini PD program. Outside of school, Heidi loves to work out and take on physical challenges whether it be cycling 1000km in a month or training for a 10km open water swim. She loves to cook and bake, which makes her husband Jason very happy.
