Cameron Firth

Subject Area Learning Leader - Language and Literature, English language and literature Teacher, and I&S Teacher

 

Cameron is originally from the United Kingdom and joined UWC Thailand in 2017. An alumnus of UWCSEA in Singapore, Cameron joined UWC Thailand after six years teaching in London schools, most recently at Reach Academy Feltham, an innovative through-school. Cameron completed a BA in English literature and theatre at Royal Holloway University of London before completing his PGCE in English through the Teach First educational charity and Canterbury Christchurch University. As an educator, Cameron is passionate, joyful and kind. He is an advocate for student voice and independence and believes in supporting all students in making the classroom a safe and welcoming space. Cameron brings enthusiasm and honesty to the school community, as he always gets involved in campus activities and offers his support where needed. Cameron’s family has doubled during his time in Phuket. Initially just a couple, Cameron and Jo now have an adopted cat, Tiger and a young daughter, Rowan. In his free time, Cameron enjoys sports, exercise, Dungeons and Dragons and other board games.
